Welcome to www.polledhereford.com. Heifers, cows, calves and bulls may be found as well as whole herds of cattle. Hereford cattle originated in Herefordshire, England. The Polled Hereford is a hornless breed of cattle with a smooth red hair coat with white markings. Polled Herefords are the result of a genetic mutation of the Hereford breed. Herefords have a docile personality and are easier to handle than some other breeds of cattle. The meat quality is good, rivaling that of the Angus. Hereford cattle are found throughout the United States as well as Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. They are tough cattle and can survive winter conditions in the Northern States as well as Canada. Many commercial breeders use the Hereford as a cross with Angus to produce quality grade cattle. These hybrid cattle are called Black White face. Ranch and farm real estate may also be found on this website.
